Spider-Broadband is the most common IP based solution for
internet/voice and data applications, it is an integrated
DVB/SCPC service linking customer's remote locations to our
partners earth station located outside Oslo. The Teleport
is operated by Taide/Telenor.
This is the largest Point of Presence to Spidersat.net,
and all major Internet Service Providers can be accessed from
here through direct fibre connections to the U.S. and European
network backbones.
Customers of Spider-Broadband are mining and exploration companies,
NGO's, ISP's, corporates and remotely located businesses of
any type.
The integrated Janux IV modem unit is capable of receiving
speeds of up to 52 Mbps per unit and transmitting up to 4
Mbps.
All customers of Spidersat enjoy the benefit of our 24-hour
help-desk service. This includes surveillance services, network
monitoring and control of all links including satellite equipment,
and access routers. The service is provided by the Spidersat
and Taide Network Operations Centre.
